Originally from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Irina Miller has lived in Sonoma County for more than 20 years.She has always been interested in art and attended an art school as a child. She has exhibited her work regionally, including private shows, and received many awards.
Her art expresses her inspirations, throughts, and feelings of a speific moment on paper and canvas. She is inspired by the magical quality of light touching an object and make it glow, its shadows, and reflections.
Process: Most of the inspirations for Irina’s are found in nature: landscapes, sky, water, birds, animals, people and flowers. She uses watercolor for its transparency and fluidity, pastel for its softness and refinement, and acrylic for its vibrancy and simplicity. Sometimes she mixes them to achieve a desired result.
