Acrylic Painting

"The smell of turpentine always reminds me of Grandpa Wolter’s oil painting studio."

Honora is a self-taught acrylic painter, typically using only 4 colors in each painting. A recent powerful depression led her to spend hours painting at the ocean, immersing myself in the colors of the water on different days and times. She was fascinated by the dynamic sunlight and shadows cast by the waves and the interaction between the ocean and the sand. Honora also enjoys painting the cows, oak trees, and animals in and around Bodega. She lives in Sebastopol with her family, dogs, guinea pigs, and chickens.
