Erin draws her illustration with an oil-based pen on transparency paper. Then, she stretches her own screens with mesh, burns the designs into emulsion coated screens, then prints on a handmade screen printing machine. It operates by swivelling 2 spring loaded screens around on a lazy susan. She combines and blends different colors onto each screen and aspires to incorporate three screens to create a piece of work— it’s difficult to register more than two.
